Remote management of eSIM profiles

The advantage of remote management of eSIM profiles is the ability to easily and centrally manage the connection of all devices anywhere in the world. With support for multiple profiles, settings can be flexibly changed throughout the device’s lifecycle – for example, during initial startup, restart, change of country or network. eSIM also allows you to respond to predefined events or set up regular reports, so you always have an overview of the device’s location, active profile, and connection status without the need for physical manipulation.

Rule logic

The platform makes it easy to define rules for profiles based on the device, its current location, and behavior. These rules can be applied to specific countries and regions. Rules can be used to respond to events on the device such as:

Initial deployment and startup of devices anywhere
Each subsequent restart of the device
Country change compared to the last location reported
Network change in which the device was last logged in
Change of device in which the eSIM chip is located

Security of the solution

The solution is designed in accordance with GSMA standards, which define a global framework for secure eSIM profile management. Each profile is protected by strong cryptography and stored directly in the device’s secure chip, virtually eliminating the risk of unauthorized manipulation.

Another security feature is that all communication is routed through a single encrypted VPN tunnel, which ensures consistent and predictable IP addresses across all profiles and networks. This means that even when changing profiles or operators, there is no need to modify the network infrastructure, firewall rules, or access policies.
